What stands out most, in this Rayman especially, is the quality of the writing. They add a much needed twist to the tried and true and help set the game apart from other platformy titles. One example allows the lad to guide missiles around the level (see above) and another allows him to spidey-swing his way across stages using electrified grappling hooks. The game plays very much like its predecessors with one notable element added: by finding magical detergent canisters, Rayman dons a new outfit, giving him an awesome super power. Whilst it isn’t as stunning as its new 2D baby-brother, it definitely packs an interesting, colourful and well-realised aesthetic. The visuals have upgraded nicely as their focus was always clarity over intense detail. The game is pretty much untouched, providing a linear journey through some truly bizarre settings wherein Rayman can punch, jump and helicopter his way towards his insane goal purging poor Globox of Andre – the snarky fur-ball antagonist who accidentally found his way inside the blue fella’s stomach. The game is recommended to everyone without exception.As soon as everyone’s favourite limbless hero reappeared on the Playstation store, promoting his third PS2 installment in HD glory, I bought it almost immediately. Rayman 3 remains, to this day, one of the greater of Ubisoft’s few achievements.
The game will captivate absolutely any adult and child. Everything in the game is literally built on it, levels, sounds, videos and even white shoes of smiling Raymana are positively saturated. But the main thing in the game is the sea of positive that rolls on the player immediately when the game starts. In it, for example, you need to run away from the lava, falling into the rhythm of the background melody - very funny. After this comes the musical level, it is worthy of special praise. Next comes the boss, a pretty standard arcade boss. There will be levels where Rayman decreases, runs upside down, swims and does a lot, a lot of interesting things. Each location is special and has its own chips and the player will have to use them. This is arguably the most addictive arcade gameplay in the entire existence of video games. The undeniable advantage of the game is the gameplay. Cells with them are scattered throughout the game universe in various worlds. Rayman’s blue friends were kidnapped and the player needs to be freed. The plot of the game is simple, as befits a genre. Can a simple arcade game resist modern projects with mega cool graphics and millions of polygons per cm? Rayman Legends proves that it can not only resist, but also surpass.
